Rosamund Pike
Born in London in 1979, Rosamund Elizabeth Pike is an actress. She was the sole child of a classically trained violinist mom Caroline (Friend) as well as an opera singer father Julian Pike. Because of her parents' jobs, she spent her childhood touring around Europe. Pike went to Badminton School in Bristol, England and started acting at the National Youth Theatre. Pike first appeared in a National Youth Theatre production "Romeo and Juliet". She was signed by an agent after being noticed. Pike also began acting at the National Youth Theatre. The film she made her debut in was a big-budget action flick. However, her later films were mostly independent films like Promised Land (2004) and The Libertine (2004). She was also awarded the award for Best Supporting Actress prize in The British Independent Film Awards. Pride & Prejudice (2005) included Pike in the role of one of the Bennet girls.
