Michelle Lynn Monaghan (born March 23 1975) is an American actress. Her most well-known roles include her roles in Kiss Bang Bang (2006), Gone Baby Gone (2007, Made of Honor (2008)), Trucker (2008) and Source Code (2011). The actress has also been recognized for her starring role as Julia Meade in the action spy film series Mission: Impossible, appearing in Mission: Impossible III (2006), Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol (2011), and Mission: Impossible - Fallout (2018).On the television screen, Monaghan starred as Maggie Hart in the premiere season of the anthology crime-drama series True Detective (2014), in which she earned nominations for the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress. She was the American women's Olympic gymnastics team captain for both the 2012 and 2016 "Fierce Five" U.S. teams. She was awarded a gold medal in team competitions at the 2016 Olympics. Morgan was born July 2nd, 1989 to Pamela Morgan and Michael Morgan. Morgan, along with her sisters Jeni and Jeri were raised in Diamond Bar, Los Angeles. Morgan was multisport in her childhood, however she first discovered soccer when she was 14. Morgan then became a member of the Cypress Elite club team, winning the Coast Soccer League under-16 championship and coming in third place in the under-19 bracket. Morgan continued to refine her skills in soccer in Diamond Bar High School. The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) has selected Morgan as an All-American Athlete. In addition, she was a part of the both state and regional divisions in the Olympic Development Program (ODP).
