Sarah Chalke
Sarah Chalke was born in Ottawa, Ontario
Canada on 27 August 1976. Angie Chalke is her mother and Doug Chalke are her
father. Sarah is the middle child. She has an older sister, Natasha Chalke and
one younger sister, Piper Chalke. Sarah began her acting career in the film
City Boy (1992), produced for television. In 1993, following her first film,
she auditioned for the role of "Becky" on the TV series Roseanne
(1988). The show was looking for a replacement after Alicia Goranson quit the
show to attend college. Sarah graduated from high school in 1995 while filming
the 1994-1995 season of Roseanne (1988). Also, in 1994, Sarah co-starred in the
film Ernest Goes to School (1994), along with Jim Varney. She was in Robin of
Locksley (1996) and Stand Against Fear(1996). In these films she played the
part of Krista Wilson who was who was a cheerleader. Sarah was also invited to
star in a TV show named Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy (1998) which was a year
after Roseanne (1988). Based on Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy (2000), Sarah
also appeared in the show. She took over Becky's (1988) role from Alicia
Goranson. She told her she was looking to leave acting and pursue a degree in
college. (2001) (1993-1997) She played the younger sister of Sara Gilbert on
Roseanne (1988), but is younger in real life. Participated in the 1999 CCMA
Awards Ceremony, at which she received an award for the best single of the
year. September 1999: Appeared at age of 8 in Vancouver's stage productions.
Fluent in French as well as German. She is a volunteer at a hospice , where
sick children are treated . She also works for the Audrey Hepburn Children's
Fund. Chalke loves cooking with friends (especially Thai or sushi) she also
plays the guitar as well as hike, ski (she's an instructor), and kayaking. Her
father is a lawyer, and her parents are mediators. They also operate an agency
for the adoption of children. She went with her parents to China two years ago
to assist in coordinating the adoptions of a lot of orphans.
