Seehorn, born May 12, 1972 is an American actress. Her most well-known role is
that of Kim Wexler, an attorney in AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-2018) in which
she was a two-time recipient of the Satellite Award as Best Supporting Actress
(Series, Miniseries or Television Film. She was also on NBC's Whitney
(2011–2013), ABC's I'm with Her 2003-2004, and TNT's Franklin & Bash
2011–2014. Deborah Rhea Seehorn, a Norfolk native was born on 12 May, 1972. Her
mother was an executive secretary of the United States Navy, her father was an
agent with the Naval Investigative Service. The family resided in Washington,
D.C., Arizona, Japan, and was frequently moved throughout her youth. At a very
young age, she was inspired by her grandmother and grandfather to study
drawing, painting and architecture. Though she pursued the visual arts
throughout her life, she also developed an interest in acting. In college, she
was introduced to contemporary theater. In 1994, she graduated from George
Mason University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art. While at
university, Seehorn was looking to enter the theater industry, thanks to being
encouraged by her acting teacher. She attempted to be noticed by working at
different ancillary positions in D.C. theater. Although she eventually managed
to land major roles in local productions of theater and had to do odd jobs to
stay afloat however, she continued working in the film industry as a teacher
filmmaker. Then she was involved in more TV productions. The most frequent
comparisons she was made was to Bea Arthur, whom was described by her as
"very humorous," "sarcastic, and knowledgeable" women.
These roles were usually cancelled after a couple of seasons. Seehorn was the
lead in Better Call Saul, the Breaking Bad spinoff series. Seehorn is Kim
Wexler, who is an attorney and the lover of Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman (Bob
Odenkirk).
